Thursday evening was a great opportunity to celebrate boys who have excelled this year both academically and beyond at our Prizegiving event. A full list of prize-winners can be found on the School website.
The excellent weather meant that we were able to celebrate outside in the cloisters with some refreshments. The chocolate ice-cream was very popular with the boys in attendance.
We would like to give a particular thanks to the Hampton Percussion Group made up of Xandy Slater, Milo Heard, Tom Norman, Joe Towner, Jamie Lund, Jai Saha who performed on the evening. Sadly, Kyle Seth was unable to join them onstage as he was playing U19 cricket that evening!
The Third Year Dramatists Toby Kerr, Ryan Budd, Sam Evans, Cameron Slade and Charlie Beerman performed of an extract of their devised play about William Wilberforce which was very well-received.
Special mention must also go to Noah Wood who gave the “vote of thanks” at the end of the evening. Several parents told Mr Talman that his words had brought them to tears as he thanked them for helping their sons and that boys may not always show it, but do always appreciate everything their parents do.
Last Friday evening was the latest Hampton Rock Concert and many Third Year boys thrilled the audience with performances. Particularly impressive were Tom Wykes, Luke Michels and James Bantick but all of the Third Years who took part raised the roof and had a great time.
Boys have continued to impress at Athletics meetings this week. Louis Middleton has been a particularly strong performer at these meetings. He also ran from Teddington to get to Prizegiving on time, which will no doubt help his stamina and cross-country running next year.
