Hampton School welcomed young pupils from 21 local prep schools to battle it out for the title of Maths Wizard Champion 2019.

Teams of Year Five pupils put their mathematical knowledge to the test, tackling a range of challenges in a bid to win the coveted trophy. The mathematicians took part in five fiendish rounds of problems ranging from the Symbols round to the Always, Sometimes, Never round. The competition culminated in a final round of Cross Number, in which the young mathematicians were mentored by Sixth Form Hampton pupils, and tasked with completing a challenging numerical crossword puzzle.

Congratulations to all those who took part and demonstrated brilliant number crunching skills and team work. The runners up were Twickenham Prep School (third), Orchard House School (second) and in first place, the winners of the Maths Wizard Trophy 2019, were Broomfield House School.
