The School holds an annual Careers Week in the spring term which enables pupils and their parents to hear from experts from many professions and organisations. Recent sessions included Law, Medicine, Finance, the Civil Service and Computer Science amongst others. Sessions involve a panel of career leaders drawn from our Alumni community, parent body and elsewhere. Pupils are also able to visit the LEH Careers Convention, and, through the Unifrog platform, can also access their virtual careers fair.
Higher Education Evening
This is held in the first week of the Lower Sixth summer term and is an opportunity for parents to find out more about the process of university application. Every pupil and their parents are offered a UCAS Parents’ Meeting where they are able to discuss university options with a member of the UCAS team, SLT, Head of Department or another senior member of staff. The Lower Sixth are also taken off-timetable for a Personal Statement morning in the second half of the summer term, where pupils are introduced the UCAS Personal Statement and given specialist subject-specific advice.
The Hampton Network
Alumni regularly return to Hampton to offer guidance and share their expertise. The School enjoys close contact with its Alumni network and these links offer Hamptonians the opportunity for work experience and internships before they proceed to degree courses.
