WELCOME BACK!
It has been lovely to see all the First Years back in such high spirits after the Christmas break. With a session on study skills in PSHE this week they are ready to make the most of this term, ready and raring to go! We have enjoyed hearing all about what they have got up to over the holidays with their family and friends and even a few trips that the boys went on.
Co-curricular activities have started again and will be in full swing next week. Why not make it a New Year’s resolution to try something new that you wouldn’t have before. Have a go at Film Making, Junior Debating, Biology or design a futuristic skyscraper for the City of London as part of the Architecture competition!
A BIG THANK YOU
We would like to thank all the First Year boys who gave up their time on Monday morning to help with the 11+ examinations. It probably doesn’t feel like that long ago since our First Years were in a similar position. Your help was greatly appreciated by all the staff and applicants, particularly with helping them find their way around the School!
THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ
This year’s Lower School Musical is into the final stretch of rehearsals this half term, good luck to all First Years involved, we hope the rehearsals are going well! Our lucky First Years will have the opportunity to watch the show on the afternoon of Monday 10 February (for free!) so no need to rush to get tickets when they go on sale.
SPORTS
Straight into the fixtures this year with our U12A-E Football teams playing Dulwich College at home this Saturday and our U12A and B Rugby teams playing their first matches of the new year against Tiffin School. We wish all boys playing the best of luck!
ANSWER TO LAST WEEK’S RIDDLE
Hopefully they weren’t filled with coal, it was a Christmas stocking!
RIDDLE OF THE WEEK
Merits can be collected from Mrs Halford in the Biology office for any correct answers, happy solving!
