Welcome to the First Year Blog!

A slightly warmer week at school this week, our First Years have been enjoying the sunshine during lunchtimes on the 3G and throwing themselves wholeheartedly into their co-curricular activities. The Lower School Science Fair has launched with a bang, cricket nets are in full swing and the musical activities are loud and rocking! Well done to all those who performed in the fantastic rock concert last Friday, highlights can be seen on the Music Department Twitter page.

The whole school were involved in commemorating all those who had been victim of genocides and our First Years spent a lot of time in PSHE on Monday writing letters to Zigi Shipper, a man who had survived Auschwitz-Birkenau, after they had listened to his story.

Some stiff competition for our U12B and C Football Teams against Abingdon School last weekend. Our First Years played admirably but the Abingdon teams outperformed us. Well done to all those who played.

Two successes and one defeat four our U12A, B and C Rugby Teams against Campion School last weekend as well.

This afternoon our U12A,B,C,D and E Football Teams are on the road to compete against Wilson’s School. Good luck, we hope the matches went well! And the U12C Team have another match tomorrow against Gordon’s School, best of luck with that match as well!

Good luck to our U12A and B Rugby Teams for their big matches against Whitgift School this weekend.
