Meet Aadam

I grew up in Hampton with my mum and walked past Hampton School every day. I could see the clock tower, the tennis courts and the kids playing on the 3G sports pitch and decided from a very early age that Hampton was the school for me.

After I passed the 11+ examination, my mum spoke to the School about our situation. We could never have afforded the fees and the School was very understanding and easy to deal with. The admissions team made everything straightforward, and I was offered a completely free place. We didn’t even know that was possible at the time, so it was wonderful news.

Every day was like an adventure. The opportunities are almost endless. I would consider myself to be someone who definitely engaged with a lot of different clubs, sports, activities and I still don’t think I even did anywhere near the number of things that I could have done…. I still regret not attending bee-keeping club at least once whilst I was there.

The Hampton environment is a very caring environment. You know that your peers and your teachers are there to support you. I made so many friends who I will value for the rest of my life.

As well as enjoying every single day, I benefited from a great education. With two A*s and an A at A Level I could take up my place studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Oxford, which I am really enjoying. I definitely feel like I have fulfilled my dream.
