Hampton announces new charitable schools’ trust

Hampton is delighted to announce the formation of the Hampton Schools’ Trust bringing together a group of strong, thriving, and like-minded charitable independent schools in South West London.

The Trust’s four founding-member schools: Hampton, Hampton Prep and Pre-Prep, Kew College Prep and Newland House School, share strong common values and are fully committed to providing the very best academic and all-round education for our pupils.

The member schools are all flourishing and highly successful in their own right and the formation of the Trust will build upon these strengths and secure the long-term sustainability of charitable independent education in our area. As not-for-profit schools, all fees that parents pay will be reinvested directly into the charitable Trust, creating even greater opportunities for our pupils, families and staff.

While becoming part of the Hampton Schools’ Trust family, member schools will retain their current name, distinctive identity, and character but gain multiple benefits from being part of one charitable group.

Their pupils will enjoy clear pathways to superb senior schools via assured places arrangements. These will be run in conjunction with our neighbours LEH as part of our recently announced formalised partnership.

Considerable benefits will also arise from professional collaboration across the Trust – sharing excellent practice, developing talent, and fostering an ideal environment for career progression.

Hampton Headmaster, Kevin Knibbs commented:

We are delighted to announce the formation of the Hampton Schools’ Trust − an exciting, progressive and values-led initiative that will ensure an even stronger future for the communities we serve. Our Governors and I, together with the Heads in our family of schools, firmly believe in the importance, abiding relevance and moral purpose of charitable independent education.  Our collective aspiration is to build on our member schools’ many existing strengths and continue providing exceptional education that always puts pupils before profit.
