Hampton School U13s have reached the English Schools’ Cricket Association (ESCA) national cup final for the second year running.
The Second Years produced a superb all-round semi-final performance with a comprehensive 151-run victory over Sir Thomas Rich’s Grammar School
Hampton’s batting line-up proved difficult to contain with Bertie and Yvan combining brilliantly to chalk up 190 runs between them and Bertie striking a magnificent 116 from 88 balls.
Bowlers also were on top form with Captain Kaarthikan removing three batsmen in the opening over and adding a fourth wicket shortly afterwards.
The emphatic victory sees a Hampton U13 team through to the ESCA Cup Final for the second consecutive year and our young cricketers are hoping to bring home the trophy once again.
