First Year Hamptonians enjoyed a memorable weekend of outdoor challenges and team‑building activities on a trip to Dorset. Blessed with sunshine throughout, the weekend offered pupils the chance to push themselves, work together and enjoy a wide range of adventurous experiences.

The trip began with an informative night hike to Corfe Castle, setting an exciting tone for the weekend ahead. The following day saw pupils take on a high ropes course, where they demonstrated courage and determination while tackling a variety of challenges, including the leap of faith and a suspended seesaw high above the ground.

Water‑based activities proved a highlight of the weekend. Pupils canoed across to Brownsea Island before cooling off from the warm weather with some time playing in the sea. The day ended with a relaxing evening campfire, complete with hot chocolate, giving everyone the chance to unwind and reflect on the day’s achievements.

On the final day, pupils tackled the famously muddy obstacle course at Dorset Adventure Park. The mud run lived up to its reputation, with everyone – including Mr Larking and Mr Harrison – finishing the course completely covered from head to toe. The challenge was met with great enthusiasm and plenty of laughter, providing a fitting finale to the trip.

Overall, the Dorset Adventure Society weekend was a fantastic success, combining physical challenge, teamwork and fun in the sunshine. Pupils returned tired but happy, with lasting memories of an action‑packed and rewarding outdoor experience.
