Family, fellow pupils and staff gathered to celebrate our Upper Sixth leavers’ contribution to the musical life of the School in a superb concert in the Hammond Theatre.
Hampton’s senior musicians showcased their talents with a wonderful variety of performances, which highlighted the outstanding level of musicianship at the School. From Green Day to Dvorak and Rachmaninov to The Mamas and Pappas, Upper Sixth musicians entertained the audience with an eclectic programme which included vocal performances, rock songs, original compositions, ensembles and a range of accomplished instrumentalists.
Director of Music, Mr Daniel Roland, thanked the Class of 2026 for their superb musical performances during their time at Hampton:
As always, the Leavers’ Concert was such an uplifting evening, but also an emotional one, as we celebrated our Upper Sixth musicians in their final solo concert together. I was overwhelmed by the talent on display, with 24 performers covering a huge range of styles from classical right through to heavy metal! I am so proud of this year group, and as I said at the end of the concert, I really do hope they will all relish the musical opportunities on offer to them wherever they end up next.
