Hampton rowing welcomed over 1,000 young rowers from 43 schools and clubs across the country to the 2025 Hampton Small Boats Head, a highlight of the junior rowing calendar.
This prestigious annual event saw over 700 crews take on a challenging 3,000m time trial along the Molesey stretch of the River Thames, racing from Sunbury Lock to Hurst Park. One by one, boats navigated the course, with times recorded and medals awarded to the fastest finishers in each category. Despite the early rain, racing conditions made for an exciting spectacle, with supporters lining the riverbanks to cheer on the young oarsmen and women.
Hampton crews produced a number of outstanding performances, securing Gold medals in the Junior Coxed Fours, J16 Coxed Fours, J15 Coxed Quads and the J15 Double Sculls.
From Hampton Alumni running the timing teams to current parents providing refreshments and British Rowing umpires overseeing the racing, the Hampton rowing community came together to deliver a truly outstanding event. Congratulations to all competitors and thank you to everyone who made the Hampton Small Boats Head 2025 such a memorable occasion.
