Second Years dressed as their favourite literary characters to encourage reading and raise money for our 2025-26 Form Charity partners.
Second Year Hamptonians arrived at School dressed in a range of colourful costumes based on their favourite book. Characters who roamed the Hampton corridors ranged from the super sleuth Sherlock Holmes to the fantastical figure of Willy Wonka, alongside perennial favourites Harry Potter, Gandalf and James Bond. The day also included a Dystopian creative writing workshop led by author Alice McIlroy.
Special mention to the three Hamptonians who won the prize for the best costume: Ethan C spent the day as the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland; Matthew T dressed as the eponymous hero from the book series Itch; and Ethan SW came to School as Tanjiro Kamado from the Japanese manga series Demon Slayer. It wasn’t just Second Year pupils who delved into their dressing up box, our teachers also entered into the fun of the day – Little Red Riding Hood, Captain Hook and Mrs Coulter could all be found teaching Hamptonians in the classrooms.
