The Combined Cadet Force have had a busy term with close to 50 flying opportunities. RAF Benson, Kenley and Wittering hosted cadets from Hampton, LEH and Hampton High, who flew in either a Viking glider or a single propeller Grob Tutor.
As well as being behind the controls, pupils also had an opportunity to attempt a barrel roll – after adjusting the nose height, altitude and checking for obstacles you push stick to the left and the plane follows your control. As well as some nervous adrenalin, it was an unforgettable experience for our young pilots. It was also nice to get back down to ground to see your friends and relive the moment.
