The First Year Dorset Adventure Trip over the half term break was end-to-end excitement, with pupils enjoying a weekend of rock climbing, abseiling and giant canoeing.
A group of 30 First Year Hamptonians travelled to the Dorset coast to take part in a variety of activities. The trip kicked off with an evening walk along the clifftop path to Corfe Castle to take in the stunning views of the castle as the sun set on the surrounding countryside.
The young adventurers made the most of the beautiful weather as they tackled sea cliff climbing and abseiling at Dancing Ledge, They also ventured onto the water and canoed across Poole Harbour from Cleavel Point, enjoying a hotly-contested canoe race which was narrowly won by Mr Crook’s boat. The Hamptonians also enjoyed the Mud Trail at Dorset Adventure Park where the First Years mastered balance beams, cargo nets and mud slides. Mud, mud, glorious mud – big grins and mucky faces were seen throughout the day!
