A group of 30 pupils travelled to Portland in Dorset for an adrenalin-packed rock climbing trip.

Hamptonians from Fourth Year and above journeyed to the Isle of Portland for a weekend of rock climbing. The trip aimed to give pupils a chance to take part in classic limestone sport climbing, and develop skills in rope set-up and safety techniques. Skilled instructors from the Portland Outdoor Centre guided Hamptonians on local crags, and across some of the best climbing locations in the UK, including The Cuttings, Blacknor South and Battleship Veranda

The weekend also saw pupils taking full advantage of their beautiful natural surroundings, as they spent time on the beach and also took part in a bridge building challenge – on kayaks!
