Rowing

The 2024 Hampton Fours and Eights Head was a resounding success with over 600 crews competing along the 3km stretch of the river. An impressive 23 Hampton crews took part and results were outstanding across the year groups with the School winning the Boys’ VIII races in every category, and chalking up eight Golds, a Silver and a Bronze medal.

Rugby

Hampton’s rugby sevens’ squads have been on top form this season. Our U13s won the Plate at the Warwick Sevens and were the team of the day at the Invitational Surrey Sevens. At the John Fisher Sevens, it was the turn of the U15s to excel. After topping their groups, the Fourth Years chalked up a remarkable 47-0 win against Whitgift School to take the trophy. Our First VII squad have also enjoyed an excellent season winning the Middlesex Open, the Hampton Founders’ Day Sevens Plate, and reaching the second day of the Rosslyn Park National Schools Sevens tournament.

Football 

We have reached three major finals this season with the First XI in the Surrey County Cup; our Second XI in the London and South Independent Schools’ final two and Hampton’s Third XI in the Second XI Trinity Schools’s final. Congratulations to our Second XI who also reached the final four in their English Schools’ Football Association (ESFA) competition. Five Hamptonians represented their respective national ISFA squads this season, and Fifth Year, Quinn Schutter has been awarded a scholarship at Fulham FC Academy. Fulham FC have signed a Hamptonian to their academy for the past three years running.

 

Other Sports

The First to Fourth Year Junior swim team won the Richmond Borough Schools’ Swimming Championships (boys’ section), with a number of first place finishes from our talented swimmers. Other highlights include our U13 and U15 badminton teams winning their Richmond Borough competitions. In table tennis, our U16s won their Borough competition and continued on to represent Richmond in the regional championships.
