Lower Sixth Biologists have been working hard to produce the School’s very first LionMed magazine.
With articles written by members of the Medics, Vet and Dentistry Society (MVD Soc), the inaugural publication covers topics from AI driven medicine to the corporate takeover of the UK veterinary industry.
MVD Soc is a popular lunchtime society that meets weekly to discuss the latest news from the medical world, whether that be newly-discovered bacteria or revolutionary treatments for animals.
Sam Govier, Editor of LionMed, says the magazine is a great way to share their interests with the rest of the Hampton community:
Our magazine includes articles on both human and veterinary medicine, and we research and write our own pieces. We wanted to encourage pupils lower down the school to develop an interest in the fascinating field that is medicine, and highlight the current opportunities available at the School, including the new Junior MVD for pupils in First to Third years. It’s been great fun editing the magazine and seeing it come together!
