Hampton School’s rock musicians took to the Hammond Theatre stage for a superb summer rock concert.

A group of 52 pupils from across the year groups took part in this year’s event and showcased the wide range of musical talent at the School. From solo performances to full band sets, the audience was treated to a diverse selection of rock music.

From Radiohead to Rush, Coldplay to The Kinks, the concert was packed with exhilarating and polished performances. One of the highlights was the performance by the band Different, who lived up to their name with a bombastic performance of Nirvana’s Breed.

Music teacher and one of the concert’s organisers, Miss Sarah Mattinson, was delighted with the range of performances at this year’s event:

As well as saying farewell to some of our senior rock musicians, it was encouraging to see so many junior Hamptonians displaying their talents on stage for the first time – the future of rock music at Hampton looks bright!

Well done to all our performing musicians!
