Third Year pupils have been developing artistic and leadership skills as they complete their Silver Arts Award.

As part of the national qualification, Hamptonians took part in an Arts Award Leadership Day where they visited Hampton Prep School to lead workshops with Year 6 pupils on a wide range of diverse creative skills. From sports photography to stop-motion animation, video game composition to creative writing for novellas, the boys have embraced the opportunity to produce projects of impressive quality.

The Arts Award, managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England empowers young people to research, plan, complete and review a creative project of their choosing, as well as developing leadership skills in their chosen field.

Co-ordinator of the Arts Award, Mrs Victoria Whitwam congratulated the pupils on all their hard work;

all of the workshops were engaging, stimulating and fun. I am immensely proud of our Third Year boys who had worked so hard to plan, resource and deliver these workshops.

The day was a great success, it was a wonderful opportunity to develop leadership skills and our pupils look forward to continuing to share their interest of the Arts with others.
