A group of 26 Second Year pupils headed to Europe’s largest natural harbour in Poole for an action-packed weekend on the water.

Taking full advantage of the beautiful sunshine, the Hamptonians enjoyed a selection of activities including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking. The May water temperature was a little chilly but soon forgotten, albeit with the aid of a few layers of clothing and a wetsuit! Having gained their sea legs, the Second Years thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the surf.

After a full day of watersports activities, pupils threw themselves into some fun back on land, enjoying evening games of volleyball and football on the beach. There was also an opportunity to go crabbing, all of which were returned to the sea unharmed!
