English Schools’ Football Association U18 Final

Livestream

The School community is looking forward to watching the Hampton First XI play at Stoke City FC stadium in the final of the English Schools’ FA Cup on Thursday 4 May against Shrewsbury School. It is the second time in the last four years that Hampton has reached the final and, in what promises to be a whole-School occasion, eleven coach-loads of supporters will make the 170-mile journey to Stoke City FC to offer their wholehearted support.

The U18 English Schools’ FA Tournament is the most prestigious school football competition in the country and over 370 schools entered the tournament last September with the Hampton First XI winning through eight stages to reach the final. Their determination and teamwork is warmly praised by the Director of Football, Mr David Burke:

WHAT A FANTASTIC ACHIEVEMENT FOR THIS SET OF PLAYERS, WHO HAVE GROWN STRONGER AS A TEAM SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON THROUGH THEIR DEDICATION, COMMITMENT AND HARD WORK.

WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THE PROSPECT OF A GREAT ESFA CUP FINAL IN MAY, WHEN WE KNOW WE WILL HAVE THE SUPPORT OF THE WHOLE SCHOOL. HOPEFULLY WE CAN CREATE ANOTHER MEMORABLE OCCASION FOR THE HAMPTON COMMUNITY.

Kick off is at 1:30pm on Thursday, and the match will be streamed live on ESFA TV and will remain online after the event has taken place, so players and spectators can enjoy watching the game back at a later date. The game will also be comprehensively covered on the School’s social channels and anyone who wants to follow live updates should check in with the @HamptonSchool twitter feeds.

Photographs of the day can also be purchased from the ESFA Official Photographer following the event. Spectators carrying long lens cameras will not be permitted access to the stadium.

Stadium Address: Stoke City Football Club Stadium, Stanley Matthews’ Way, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 4EG
