Hampton welcomed over 100 junior pupils from 30 partner schools for an exciting day of music making.
Young musicians from primary and prep schools across the local area came together with Hamptonians to rehearse several pieces of music, which they performed in a concert to conclude the workshop. Led by Hampton’s Music Department, pupils participated in a range of masterclasses in singing, brass, woodwind and strings, before coming together to rehearse for the concert.
After working hard during rehearsal sessions, the young instrumentalists and singers entertained family and friends in a celebration concert which included the choristers performing This is Me from The Greatest Showman, a rousing rendition of the Star Wars theme tune by the Sting and Woodwind Ensemble, and a wonderful performance of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from Mary Poppins by all those on stage.
