The 2022 joint Christmas production saw a cast of Hamptonians and pupils from Hampton High bring the comedy of The 39 Steps to life.
The inventive and gripping thriller took the Hammond Theatre audience on a breathtaking and hilarious journey, as our dashing hero Richard Hannay tried to clear his name of murder before it was too late. The young actors showcased their comic timing perfectly in the fast-paced and energetic production.
Drama teacher Miss Bryant, who directed the play, praised the young actors for their performance:
This was Hampton School’s first joint production with Hampton High and it was an absolute pleasure to direct. The pupils worked incredibly hard both on and off stage to bring this comedy to life in the Hammond Theatre. After two packed out performances and wonderful reviews, the cast and crew should be very proud of themselves!
