Hampton musicians enjoyed an inspirational series of masterclasses hosted by the internationally renowned, Anglo-Irish Carducci String Quartet.

Members of the Quartet ran one-to-one sessions with a number of pupils from across the year groups helping them to improve technique and performance skills. The afternoon session also included a rendition of Haydn’s The Joke by the Quartet, which was enjoyed by pupils and Hampton staff alike.

The day culminated with the professional musicians taking members of the Chamber Orchestra through their paces as they tackled Tchaikovsky’s Serenade Last Movement together. It was an enriching day of music-making with pupils greatly benefiting from the opportunity to work with such skilled performers.
