Senior pupils from Hampton and LEH came together for a leadership course at the Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre in the New Forest.

Over the weekend, pupils learnt essential leadership and teamwork skills that will be prove vital in their final year at School. Before setting off, the pupils were split up into their groups and took part in a number of ice breaker activities to get to know their teammates better.

At Avon Tyrrell, the teams participated in a series of challenges to test their teamwork and ability to work together as a group. One memorable task was attempting to put together a tent blindfolded, following instructions from their peers. Another highlight of the trip was the high and low ropes, which tested their problem solving abilities on the ground, as well as up in the trees.

The weekend concluded with fiercely contested races between the groups, including bouncing on space hoppers and the highly anticipated giant ski race. All pupils enjoyed the challenges of weekend and look forward to putting their newfound skills into practice.
