Hampton welcomed over 80 pupils from 24 partner schools for an exciting day of music making.

Young musicians from primary and prep schools across the local area came together with Hamptonians to rehearse several pieces of music, which they performed in a concert to conclude the workshop. Led by Hampton’s Music Department, pupils participated in a range of masterclasses in singing, brass, woodwind and strings, before coming together to rehearse for the concert.

Parents, teachers and friends took their seats in the Hammond Theatre for the celebration concert at the end of the day, and were treated to an impressive rendition of the pieces which the pupils had been working on throughout the day. Highlights included ‘In the Hall of the Mountain King’, ‘Ode to Joy’ and a wonderful performance of ‘When I Grow Up’ from Matilda the Musical.
