Second Year Marcus Solomon finished first in the Junior Boys race with a significant lead.
Hampton’s runners excelled at this year’s Middlesex Cross Country Championships, with Second Year athlete Marcus Solomon winning the combined Second and Third Year event.
Twelve boys from across the year groups represented Hampton and Richmond in the Championships held at Harrow School. The event attracts top athletes from across the county and all of the Hamptonians performed exceptionally well in tough conditions on a challenging course.

Our senior athletes also fared well, with Lower Sixth pupil Henry Fagan finishing ninth in the combined Year 12 and 13 event, and Charlie Coulter close behind in twelfth. The strong team showing resulted in Richmond borough being named overall winners of the competition.
Two of our athletes, Marcus and Freddie, will now go forward to represent Middlesex at the English Schools’ Cross Country Championship later this term.
