Hampton’s cross country runners excelled at the Richmond Schools’ Cross Country Championships held in Richmond Park.

A team of 36 Hamptonians from across the year groups competed in the event which attracts top runners from across the borough. In the U15 race, Second Year athlete Marcus Solomon was awarded the Gold medal, a phenomenal achievement from Marcus in the combined Second and Third Year event.

In the U17 race, Fifth Year pupil Ethan Flack received the Bronze medal, finishing third out of a field of over 100 participants. The senior team also fared well, with Lower Sixth pupil Henry Fagan crossing the finish line in the fastest time. Hampton were also named overall winners of the competition.

Thirteen of our athletes will now go forward to represent Richmond in the Middlesex Championships which takes place next year at Harrow School.
