First Year pupil Theo Liang was invited to attend the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP26, recently held in Glasgow. The young environmental videographer, who uses his video channel to help educate people about climate change, was invited by the charity Television for the Environment.

Theo attended the Sustainable Innovation Forum, an event which showcased 400 world class speakers from goverment to business leaders discussing innovative solutions to help solve the climate crisis.Theo also joined an online masterclass with Oscar winning film director Pippa Ehrlich, in which he represented young environmental videographers from the UK and Thailand.

Theo made the most of his time at COP26 by capturing the event in his very own video diary. He spoke to BMW about their plan to build a fully recyclable car and Gridserve, a company who use renewable energy sources to charge electric vehicles.

The First Year Hamptonian was delighted to have the opportunity to attend the global environment conference:

It was really fascinating to learn all about the innovative solutions to climate change.To just be at COP26 was an experience of a lifetime and it was really exciting to see behind the scenes of an event that has featured in the news all over the world.
