In support of 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP26, Hampton School staff and pupils have been making pledges to illustrate how they, as individuals, can help to prevent climate change.

The week began with Mr Stebbings, from the Hampton School Eco Club, pledging to never eat beef again, due to the carbon emissions it produces. Jonah and Sam, from the School Captains team, considered how walking or using a car share system, would reduce their environmental impact when travelling to School. Sixth Formers, Max and Arjun, have calculated that the average person uses 360 coffee cups per year, and have pledged to reduce this by introducing reusable cups to the Sixth Form common room.
