Fifth Year Hamptonians and their families are celebrating outstanding GCSE results today. These are the culmination of months of endeavour, perseverance and cheerful resilience in response to the challenges of the pandemic, periods of national lockdown and the cancellation of summer 2021 exams. This highly talented year group has shown impressive fortitude and togetherness, and their superb final grades are just reward. The life skills developed along the way will doubtless stand these young men in excellent stead for their Sixth Form studies and beyond.
Huge thanks are due to members of the Hampton Common Room, whose diligence, professionalism and care throughout have helped their pupils to achieve these splendid outcomes. Together with colleagues working in schools up and down the country, they deserve the highest praise for their efforts on behalf of young people. It is also important to pay tribute to our boys’ parents and other family members for their unwavering support during unpredictable and uncertain times. It has been a tremendous team effort!
There were heart-warming and joyful scenes in the Cloisters this morning as boys and parents gathered to celebrate each other’s success – a selection of photos can be found in the gallery linked below:
Our Fifth Years have established firm foundations for the next stage and they can approach their Sixth Form years with confidence. Congratulations, boys – we are really proud of you and hope that you will enjoy the rest of the summer break!
