The School is once again offering on-site support for children of critical workers during lockdown. Up to 40 pupils are on the School site each day and comprehensive measures have been put in place to ensure that they, and the members of staff required to keep the School open, are as safe as possible.

All Hamptonians and members of the Common Room who are frequently on the School site are being tested for Covid-19 on a regular basis using the lateral flow tests, with results returned in 30 minutes. The North Gym and Hammond Theatre foyer have been temporarily requisitioned to serve as a testing hub. To date, over 260 tests have been carried out with Headmaster Mr Knibbs being one of the first to take his turn at the North Gym testing centre.

The School nurses are overseeing the administration of the tests supported by trained members of staff. Many Hampton teachers have also volunteered to supervise the children of critical workers while they are at School in their socially-distanced, year group bubbles.
