Hampton welcomed over 220 new boys for the start of the 2020-21 academic year.

This morning saw the arrival of 158 First Years, many accompanied by family members enjoying the excitement of their son’s first day at Hampton School. The new arrivals enjoyed getting to know each other and making new friendships. They navigated the School site, and met Form Tutors, Sixth Form mentors and subject teachers.

Also joining the School are 55 new Third Years who are looking forward to meeting the rest of their year group and getting stuck into the new academic year. Our new Lower Sixth were in School too today and we welcome eleven new boys to Hampton Sixth Form.

With social distancing, face coverings and additional hygiene measures in place, everyone could relax and enjoy their first day at Hampton. They were warmly welcomed by The Headmaster, Mr Knibbs:

We are delighted to have welcomed over 224 new First Year, Third Year and Lower Sixth boys to our School community. Their enthusiastic, energetic and effervescent presence on site has been a joy to witness (and hear!) and suggests that they will be taking full advantage of all the wonderful opportunities they will encounter here. I wish them every future happiness as they begin their time as Hamptonians and I shall look forward to seeing them flourish over the years ahead.
