To mark the launch of the World War Two trail, the Hampton School History Department organised a series of interviews with leading historians to explore the international, national and local experiences of the War.

Lower Sixth historians spoke to Professor of International History David Reynolds to discuss the international dimensions of the war.

Pupils in the History & Archives Club also spoke with Professor Reynolds to discuss learning about the War and studying history at School.

Local historian, John Sheaf, shared some stories from war-time Hampton. Find out about the woman who had a lucky escape from a bomb whilst sitting in the bath!

Finally, British historian, Dr Michael Jones, gave his insights into what life was like as the War in Europe came to an end.
