Senior athlete Sam Southall is helping his triathlon club Optima Racing collectively swim, cycle and run 9956km over 48 hours, this weekend – within the current government guidelines. This is the distance between the next Olympic host city (Tokyo) and the club’s gym. Sam is personally aiming to ride 400km – using a static bike – to help the fundraising effort in support of Prince Alice Hospice and Duchenne UK.  Best of luck to Sam and all his club mates, over what is no doubt going to be a gruelling weekend!
