Welcome Back, School Cricket and Getting into Medicine!
Welcome to the Third Year Blog!
Welcome back and Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and New Year! The Third Year boys were back to School on Wednesday and enjoyed their first session on Careers in their Thursday PSHE session.
Here are some other notices from the week:
Getting into Medicine Day
There are eight places on the ISSP “Getting into Medicine Day” on Monday 20 January at Tolworth Girls’ School. The aim of the day will be for:
Students to gain an understanding of the various healthcare professions, and the potential pathways to gaining employment in the sector. Students will take part in a full day of dissection-based workshops, working in small groups to allow everyone to gain hands-on experience.
Speak to your Form Tutor or Head of Year if you are interested in attending this event.
Boys’ Choir rehearsals resume on Wednesdays at 12.35pm in Room 35 in The Garrick. This is also a great opportunity for anyone who hasn’t been to Boys’ Choir before but would be interested in joining, so come along and try it out. We are working towards a concert performance at the end of April!
Cricket nets for U14AB cricketers start Tuesday 14 January after school from 4.00 pm until 6 pm in the Sports Hall. Nets for the U14C team will start from Monday 13 January from 12.35 – 1.20pm.
All new boys wishing to play School Cricket this summer should attend the cricket training on Monday 13 January lunch time in the Sports Hall from 12.35 – 1.20pm for assessment. All boys wishing to play School Cricket for the A, B and C this summer should attend. If you have any problems with this, please see Mr Trivedi or Mr Sims.
