An impressive 24 Hamptonians have conditional offers of places at Oxford and Cambridge Universities. These are across a wide range of subjects, including Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, History, Mathematics, Modern Languages, Natural Sciences, and Philosophy.

Three of the School’s Vice-Captains, Alex Fagan, Koby Kalavannan and Joseph Helm, are among those with Oxbridge offers. Alex’s offer is to read Classics at Oxford, while Koby’s is to study Medicine at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge; Joseph is looking forward to going up to Cambridge to read Human Social and Political Sciences (HSPS) at Churchill College.

Four of the offered places are to study Engineering, while three Upper Sixth Formers will read Modern Language or related degrees. Those in the latter category include Jake Emerson, whose offer is to read Law with German Law. Jake and fellow Hampton Germanists reached the national finals of last year’s Goethe-Institut Sixth Form debating competition.

Offers from other leading UK and overseas institutions have been arriving for Upper Sixth Formers over recent weeks – 41 Hamptonians currently hold global top-10 university offers and the vast majority of the Class of 2020 have received offers from Russell Group universities, or the equivalent.
