We were delighted to welcome 44 boys and girls from eight local primary schools to the very first session of our inspiring and fun new learning programme, Lion Learning, this weekend.

Lion Learning has been designed in close collaboration with headteachers from several of our local partner primary schools and is geared at boys and girls who are passionate about learning and want to know more. The 12-month programme is free of charge and allows children to explore English, Maths, Philosophy and Science through a range of exciting activities and lessons led by subject specialist teachers from Hampton School, supported by Sixth Form mentors.

Hampton Hill Junior School is one of the eight local primary schools involved in the 2020 Lion Learning scheme. Headteacher, Alan Went, says he is very excited to see how his young pupils develop over the year:

Lion Learning is a very exciting opportunity for our pupils and a further example of the superb community and link work that is led by Hampton School, which has been so beneficial to our children. The skills and opportunities that this programme offers the participants will serve them so brilliantly well.I am very much looking forward to seeing the benefits of this for our pupils, and hearing from them about how much they have enjoyed the journey.
