Hampton’s runners excelled at the Richmond Schools’ Cross Country Championships, retaining their title as overall winners for the fourth successive year.

In the Sixth Form event, seven Hamptonians occupied the top ten spots with Indy Barnes winning the Gold medal closely followed by Sam Southall in a race that went down to the wire.

Our younger athletes also fared well, with Third Year pupil Finlay Hawker finishing first in the combined Second and Third Year race, closely followed by Rex Booth and Freddie Bate in fifth and sixth place, respectively. Ollie Swetman had a strong third place finish in the First Year event.

Eighteen of our athletes, a record number for the School, will now go forward to represent Richmond in the Middlesex Championships.
