Hampton’s annual ISSP Science Day welcomed pupils from five local schools to participate in a range of exciting and interactive experiments.

The day provided pupils from Orleans Park, Teddington School, Hampton High, Tolworth Girls’ School, Lady Eleanor Holles and Hampton School with a fun and informative opportunity to learn about Chemistry, Physics and Biology, offering an insight into new topics and motivating them to explore the Science curriculum further.

The budding scientists took part in a Chemistry lesson discovering how energy changes in chemical reactions, in Biology they investigated the effect of pH on digestive enzymes and in Physics they explored upthrust using the pupil’s handmade hot air balloons.

One pupil from Teddington School described how much he had enjoyed the day:

Science Day was a great experience and I hope there are many more days like this to come. The practicals were really interesting and it’s great to explore different topics in Science while also interacting with pupils from other local secondary schools.
