Hampton’s Pens Down Day was enjoyed across the year groups, encouraging pupils to pack their pens away, lift their heads from their books and talk, listen and work in collaboration with each other.

Designed to promote learning through communication and debate, teachers came up with a range of innovative ways to engage Hamptonians. Pens Down Day involved a day of interesting, pens-free activities which included: a workshop on religious artefacts, building molecular models in Chemistry, German charades, creating jigsaws to solve equations in Maths, playing a tense round of Quizlet in Greek, and testing air resistance with parachute pens in Physics.
