Hampton pupils have selected four new charities to support during this academic year: Off The Record (OTR), Momentum, Make a Wish Foundation, and Mary’s Meals.

Hamptonians will take part in a range of fundraising activities throughout the year, which are either year group events organised by the boys or whole School events organised by the Charity Coordinator. These include: mufti days, the summer fun run, the much anticipated book character day, and the fiercely competitive annual netball match against LEH.

Mrs Augusta Samuel, Form Charity Coordinator, highlighted how Hamptonians get involved during the School year:

We are looking forward to another great year for Form Charity, with as many students as possible taking part as to raise money for our four charity partners. There are events to suit everyone, from mufti days to quizzes and sporting events. See you there!

Information about the 2019-20 Form charities

Off The Record Twickenham (OTR) is a registered charity providing the only drop-in counselling, information and sexual health service for young people aged 11-24 who live, work or study in the Borough of Richmond Upon Thames. They provide help early when it is most needed and help improve the emotional and mental well-being of over 1,500 young people a year at a time when they are experiencing unprecedented levels of stress and anxiety. https://otrtwickenham.com/

Momentum work in South West London, Surrey and Sussex and support families whose children have cancer or a life-challenging condition. They offer individually-tailored support through a family support programme, offering practical and emotional help, as well as a range of therapy services including music, dance and art.

Make A Wish Foundation create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Whether it’s starring in their own films, walking with dinosaurs, going on an amazing holiday, meeting a celebrity hero, or having a bedroom makeover; the wishes are varied, personal and life-changing.

Mary’s Meals has a vision that every child receives one daily meal in their place of education and that all those who have more than they need, share with those who lack even the most basic of things.
