Children from 14 local primary schools immersed themselves in a world of imagination at Hampton School’s Cabinet of Curiosities Creative Writing Workshop.

The workshop provided aspiring authors in Year 5 with the opportunity to let their imaginations run wild. Teams of pupils were provided with a ‘cabinet of curiosities’ ranging from feathers to gems and butterflies to wands. The pupils worked through a range of exciting activities to produce their own story based around one of the objects, developing their creative flair and honing their writing skills along the way. A selection of stories were then read out loud to the audience of pupils, teachers and parents. Well done to all those who took part!
