The annual First Year trip to Avon Tyrrell was a spectacular week of fun, friendship and team building.
The weather could not have been better. Clear blue skies and sunshine helped to create the perfect environment and First Years tackled a range of challenges including high ropes, low ropes, orienteering and raft building with enthusiasm and determination. The boys particularly enjoyed the auction where they bid points they had earned in the challenges to secure the best raft building equipment.
The aim of the two-day adventure trip was to encourage First Years to develop their lateral thinking, communication and team work skills. Great fun was had by all and many friendships were forged.
Head of First Year, Mrs Peattie commented:
Back to All ArticlesThe First Years had a wonderful week in Avon Tyrrell, made better by the fantastic weather. Tutors were particularly impressed by 1H, 1B and 1L’s ability to beat the Sixth Form Mentors in the ‘eggs can fly’ challenge.
