Our Second Year linguists excelled at this year’s Poetry Live competition as they performed in front of over 200 spectators at St Mary’s University, Twickenham.
After progressing through inter-form and year group rounds, the four Hamptonians advanced to the final where they competed against 64 pupils from 22 schools across London and the South East. The boys performed a poem in their chosen language in front of a packed hall of teachers, family and friends and were judged on fluency, pronunciation and the all-important star quality.
Congratulations to Vishal Saha and Tom Oliver who both won gold for their outstanding poetry performances in Spanish and German.
