Weekly Conundrum, Volleyball and February sunshine
It has been a lovely, sunny week at Hampton and the First Year boys have certainly been making the most of it! There has been lots of fun had on the 3G at break times and a bit of extra light in the day has certainly not gone amiss – spring is on its way!
The boys have been busy with their usual array of activities and fixtures and I was especially pleased to hear that some First Year boys took part in a table tennis fixture at Wallington County Grammar School earlier in the week. It certainly sounds like they had an enjoyable and successful afternoon. There are so many sports on offer at Hampton and now is the time for all of the boys to try and investigate what is available to them.
This afternoon, the U12A Football team are in action against Riddlesdown Collegiate School and we look forward to hearing how they get on – good luck to everyone involved! Best of luck to those boys who are involved in matches against Sutton Grammar School and the Rugby VIIs competition.
Captains: please do remember to write your match reports and send them through. We love hearing your news! We hope those boys who are involved in the Futsal competition on Saturday morning also have a great time.
The Inter Form competition is set to continue on Thursday 7 March with the Inter Form Volleyball competition, so this will be the perfect opportunity for the boys to show off the skills they have developed in PE lessons. Any interested boys should make themselves known to their Form Tutors so that they can get a team set up – it would be great to have a team from every Form entering this!
A number of the First Year boys have helped out with 10+ and 11+ taster afternoons and visitors events this week – huge thanks to all who were involved in this. You were all wonderful ambassadors for the School and we were very proud with the way you all presented yourself and helped the younger boys.
Finally, the conundrums are back up and running and here is this week’s offering:
Look forward to hearing your solutions next week! Remember to come and see me with your written solutions – all right answers and excellent efforts get a merit!
Have a lovely weekend!
