Over 350 local secondary pupils came together for a day of music-making as part of the Hampton and Lady Eleanor Holles Independent State Schools Partnership.

Pupils from Waldegrave School, Tolworth Girls’ School, Hampton High, Orleans Park School, Turing House and Teddington School joined forces with musicians from Hampton and LEH to work on a range of musical pieces throughout the day. After hours of rehearsals, the day culminated in a rousing concert for family and friends which included a series of ensemble performances and a full orchestral and choral rendition of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana.

Director of Music, Mr Daniel Roland, was delighted with the pupils’ hard work and creativity:

What a wonderful day! It was so uplifting to see over 350 pupils from eight schools joining together and performing such challenging music after just one day of rehearsals.
