Young Games Inventor 2018!

Third Year pupil Victor Smirnov has been named Young Games Inventor 2018. Run by the Green Board Games company, Victor devised an inventive and ingenious new board game, which may soon be seen in the shops.

The strategy game, called Terra Draconum, sees players invade and occupy enemy islands using dragons, spells and a currency of ‘skulls’. Victor’s design was voted for by the public as well as a panel of judges and he was presented with his winner’s prize at the 2018 London Toy Fair.

As well as winning his height in board games, Victor also had a sneak preview of some of the new toys and games that will be released this year.

It was really unexpected when I heard that I’d won the Young Games Inventor competition but it was really exciting. I really hope to see my game brought to life and play it with all my friends.
