Work is progressing well on our new state-of-the-art Sixth Form Study and Careers Centre.
The three-storey development within the existing Hammond Quad area of the School represents one of the most significant engineering challenges undertaken on our site. Please take a look at the animated video below for a sense of what the new building will look like on completion in Spring 2019.
The centre will significantly enhance the School’s existing teaching facilities and also provide an innovative study area for our Sixth Formers. It will offer Hamptonians flexible work spaces, along with private study areas and individual workstations.
The new building will also house a specialist UCAS and Careers Department, providing senior boys with exceptional resources and access to Hampton’s alumni network as they consider their path beyond Hampton.
January 2019 Update:
Several groups of Sixth Formers have been shown around the new facility and have offered their thoughts on recommended finishing touches and how the new facility should operate and be used on a day-to-day basis. The ‘living wall’ has been a particular source of comment and approval! A phased handover will commence immediately which will see rooms in the North and South elevations of the Hammond Quad development made available for learning and teaching. All facilities in the Sixth Form Study and Careers Centre will be in use by the end of January 2019.
T4 – Phase two of our development project had commenced over the summer break. This part of the development will link the Alexander Building and the north-facing side of the existing main School building. It remains scheduled for completion by September 2019 and will provide us with several additional classrooms and laboratories.
Further regular updates will be posted as the project reaches completion.
