Exams are over, but there are still a few weeks to go until the end of term. Make the most of the opportunities available! Many boys will be involved in the Creative Futures Event from 1:30pm on Monday and are looking forward to attending workshops with digital, design and media mentors like Rageh Omaar. Tennis, cricket, athletics and rowing are all in full swing, along with a range of lunchtime clubs. Now the pressure is off – why not try out a new club?

News:

Louis Middleton  won the Middlesex 80m junior boys hurdles, and is looking forward to nationals, in addition he is representing Middlesex in the national pentathlon next week.

Luke Prisk ran a PB time at Park Run last Saturday – 23 minutes 30 seconds for 5km. Good running Luke!

3E are making progress on training their dogs: James Kerr has taught his dog to roll over Alex Dinan has taught his dog  to go through his legs in a figure of eight.

Cricket:

Well done to the U14A cricket team who progressed to the semi-final of the Middlesex Cup by beating St Benedict’s School in their quarter-final match on Tuesday.

The starting XI on Tuesday:

    1. Oliver Stokes
    2. Arjun Bhat
    3. Sandy Mitchell (Capt)
    4. Zak Dyer
    5. Kyle Seth
    6. Samaksh Agarwal
    7. Olly Coles
    8. Alex Zotov
    9. Huw Harris (Wk)
    10. Mustafa Hussain
    11. Alfie Simonds-Gooding

St Benedict’s scored 92-5 in their 20 overs. Thanks to some good bowling and a tidy display in the field, Hampton chased down the target, scoring 96-3 in 15.3 overs. Sandy Mitchell top scored with 56 not out – a captain’s knock to bring the team home for victory.

The semi-final is on Tuesday 19 June, next week, at Harrow. Crunch game against an old rival and tough opposition – good luck lads.

Park Run:

A disappointing turnout so far for Park Run – Mr Studt checked, this time last year the lead Form Group had 27 credits! 3F, H and A are looking like the most likely top 3 at this point in time. See below for the impact it has had on the Wills Cup table!  Don’t forget, only two Saturdays left to collect credits!
